CASE OF THE MONTH - SEPTEMBER 2012

Guiness the Pug's nose job!

Guiness was having trouble breathing especially during periods of high exertion. You will see in the photograph before surgery that Guiness' nostrils were very small - these in combination with an extra long soft palate inside his mouth were causing obstruction to the flow of air into his windpipe. Guiness had surgery to shorten his soft palate and widen his nostrils (see post surgery picture) and has been relieved of his discomfort and should now live a normal life.
